Northwest Book Fest this weekend
Calling all Seattle-area book lovers: this weekend is Northwest Book Fest! There will be tons of local authors, writing panels, book signings, and entertainment. I went last year and saw the Smart Chicks Kick It! Tour with YA authors Melissa Marr, Kelley Armstrong, Richelle Mead, Margaret Stohl, Rachel Caine, Rachel Vincent and more (unfortunately not happening this year, but it was fun). I also watched a panel with Cherie Priest and Kat Richardson, and a couple middle grade/YA panels. Highly recommended! Northwest Bookfest: Music, Rain, and authors galore
Today was the first day of the 2011 Northwest Bookfest over in Kirkland. Organized by Deb Schneider the Library Goddess, who also happens to write romance novels, the event showcased local authors across all genres. With free panels for readers and writers, food, music, and story time, it was an event not to be missed. Romance Extravaganza this Saturday
It’s time for the third annual Romance Extravaganza hosted by the King County Public Library. There are many good things about having a head librarian who is also a romance author; putting together awesome events like this is one of them. The keynote speaker this year is Susan Wiggs.
